Hi there parents/students! My name is Beth and I'm a student at Appalachian State University majoring in Art Education (K-12) and Dance. I've spent a lot of time working with kids at the Kids Museum in Raleigh, teaching art and dance classes around the DMV area, tutoring kids from my high school in Math and English, helping my own little sisters with homework. I took Teacher Cadet in high school and am taking a Dance Pedagogy class right now. I want to spend the rest of my life teaching. My dream is to found a school that will cater specifically to children from low-income backgrounds. I am patient with my students and care a lot about them. My goal after each session is to have my student know something he/she did not know before the session, as well as, leaving with advice that can be applied to anything and everything in their lives. I aim to inspire my students to want to learn more and to learn and get the grades and knowledge they desire by way of self-motivation. Positive attitudes are key when studying.
